A Philadelphia native, Felicia's observation of food and culture matured quickly and can be recognized through her photography. These influences had a strong impact on her work. She is dedicated to create her own unique style, producing work that will be rare and unmatched by others in the field. Along with those influences concept plays an important role in her work. Her process ensures that each of her images captures all the necessary elements.
After she formulates the idea, she uses her technical abilities by devising specific lighting techniques, scouting locations and making small sketches. To her this is the most efficient way to work and it keeps her organized on the day of the shoot.
Business practice is an important aspect of photography. Part of being a good photographer is having a good relationship with your clients professionally and personally, creating a positive result. When working with people in her photographs those same practices apply, it is something she takes into important consideration. She strives to find her subjects true character and reveal their essence in her photographs.
Photographs capture a moment in time that cannot be reproduced. An image creates an other worldly scenario that shows that one moment forever. The image serves a purpose to people that can determine their meaning of memories, chance and observation. This approach is what she builds her work around.
